I’ve been at the #KillTheBill protest in Newcastle. If anything convinces me that the Police should be abolished it’s contact with officers.

I watched officers come into the Monument area with no reason - people were just speaking.

I watched a liaison officer - with no ID like the others - shove a protester very, very hard.

When my friend and I politely asked why we couldn’t just continue marching they couldn’t provide me with an answer. When I asked this PC if he didn’t know or was told me under what powers he could prevent me walking on a public highway, he told me he didn’t know.

If I didn’t know essential information for my job I would be put in a disciplinary procedure.

When I asked another PC she said I’d been told and to let her do her job. Her job, as a public servant, is to talk to me.

I watched a police officer lose control of his horse. The horse damaged a car. If I let my dog shit in the street I’d be fined. If he bit anyone he would be killed. The officers don’t have control of their dangerous animals.

Northumbria Police is incompetent, lazy, and aggressive.
