Sometimes it is *so hard* to be a Jewish woman online.

I often find myself trapped between far left and far right antisemitism, and today it feels like I cannot win.

A quick cathartic and slightly self-indulgent thread on online antisemitism ⬇️ 1/
I spend my time researching the far right in online forums, where I witness severe antisemitism all day every day.

Meanwhile, me and my community are targeted by the antisemitic far left who ironically call themselves “anti-fascist”. 2/
Yesterday i sifted 170 extreme right documents, published a paper, researched emerging neo nazi groups, and then find myself and my family members targeted in a far left conspiracist video about an “israel lobby”. 3/
I am less safe and less able to do my work researching and combatting the far right because of how my family has been targeted by the antisemitic far left. 4/
I don’t often post about the abuse I see and receive as I don’t want to give it power, and I know I increase the risk to my personal safety in doing so. 5/
However, I hope this thread increases recognition of the challenges that Jewish people face.

I by no means receive the worst abuse, and pay tribute to Jewish activists who are far braver than I am. 6/
To my fellow online Jews out there calling out antisemitism on the far right and far left, know that I support you. Reach out for a chat if you ever need. 7/
