Life has seasons. (Mini thread)

In times of plenty, plant roots are swallow because there are tons of nutrients and water close to the surface.

But...

In times of scarcity, the roots have to grow deeper to survive.

Why is this a good thing?
About 5 years ago we had hurricane force winds in Michigan.

We had a prolonged power outage & many roads were blocked.

Why?

Because many of the trees had shallow root systems.

These houses built on sand could not stand the tests of God and nature.

So.

They died.
The ones that stayed had seen some terrible years or were too young to know the difference.

They stood fast.

Hard times will cause your roots to grow, it can be painful, but, as @mcclay_roman says, "pain demands a response."

When pain comes into your life, dont...
Fall.

Dig deep.

Thats where the success of this life is rooted.
