Offering vaccines to a wait list on a first-come-first-serve basis is ableist. It means those with internet, access & time get in ahead of others. My system has tons of people on the list. Need to wait longer. I’ve always said it’s not perfect but I always try my best. This is also why I don’t allow walk-ins. That reduces access for my patients who have to book transport (we’ve given vaccines on the mobility buses!).
