Osita Chidoka was FRSC Corp Marshall from 2007 - 2014. He didn't see anything wrong in the FG funding and maintaining an agency that oversees safety on the roads in Nigeria, despite the FG owning less than 40% of the roads in the country. He was happy with the role for 7 years...
When Lagos state govt started the fight to issue plate numbers and maintain their database, he was also part of the people who believed that the FRSC had the statutory rights. He singlehandedly redesigned number plates for states, determined the cost and started impounding cars.
His hands are now out of the cookie jar, suddenly he can see the light. He is asking the FG to cede FG universities and teaching hospitals to states when as Corp Marshall he thought it was wise for the FG to print ordinary car plates and manage road safety.
