How boring is it when you go to a website and you just get advice on nutrition without any backing?
you see a bunch of words, where people behind the screen are screaming at you to follow a lifestyle, but this post is not about that, in fact this post is about rather how I did some self-experimentation.
Beware- Just because it worked for me, doesn't mean it will work for you, the human body is complex and is made differently for everybody.
Below I will show you 4 images, each image representing a different me in the past 4 years, what you will see is a transition from 2018 to 2021. Are you ready to be surprised?
2020: As you all know 2020 was a rollercoaster of a time for all of us, the world was locked in but started exploring everything digitally, this was the time for me to learn new avenues. I used online learning platforms like Udemy and Coursera and indulged into different topics.
I started with basic coding, that inspired me to create this website.
Then through instagram and various online coaches I started learning about food photography. 9 months passed in the lockdown, I started getting fed up being cooped in and at the end of it I decided I wanted to pursue my Masters in Nutrition in 2021.
During the lockdown, my mom and I worked on the food we ate, We would drink all sorts of detox water and eat healthier, needless to say we didn't order food from outside and gave up things like refined flour.
We still ate amazing and delicious food, we did not compromise on that (my family are hogs when it comes to food). I lost about 20kg during the lockdown.
Once the lockdown was lifted, I got COVID, amazing right?
after I recovered it was 3 months of us going out, enjoying outside food, I gained 6 kgs, and I decided it needed to stop, I wanted to solidify my information and knowledge on nutrition and started working in a clinic and learned whole different avenue about food and an…
…approach to holistic eating.
The most important thing I learned was to manage our blood chemistry. Imagine you have a clay pot and that clay pot has holes, every time you fill it with water, it leaks out of those holes.
Now that clay pot is your body, the holes are the deficiencies and the water are the nutrients you are giving it. If you have those deficiencies than your body will not be able to absorb those nutrients efficiently.
So it's important to get a blood test every 3 months to see what your body is asking of you and supplement it accordingly.
