I have a bit of time to kill so I thought I& #39;d make a small thread of some stuff I have read or is on my reading list of PoC authors and stories as I promised to @LaPetiteSpider :) https://twitter.com/AnnaS100/status/1388005392467349507">https://twitter.com/AnnaS100/...
I& #39;m also going to include Asian fantasy novels I& #39;ve read written by Caucaisan Authors that I have really liked who didnt turn the whole genre into something resembling Anime or some sex fantasy
First up The Lotus War Trilogy by Jay Kristoff.

It& #39;s been a while since I read these but it was the first Asian fantasy story I ever read that wasn& #39;t a Korean folk story
Not a fantasy book but a book I LOVE and go back to every so often. Wild Swans by Jung Chang which follows 3 generations of women through Modern Chinese history
A Tale For the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki. I guess this isn& #39;t technically fantasy unless you want to call it more urban fantasy? It& #39;s more like a psyhological story? Either way it was a great read
The Sword of Kaigen by ML Wang. Loved this story! Tbh, anything with Katanas and magical storms is a win with me
The Ember Quartet by Sabaa Tahir. When I read this I couldn& #39;t place the region but I& #39;ve read that it& #39;s based off some Pakistani folklore and culture. The Author is Pakistani American so I wouldn& #39;t be surprised :)
This one is a guilty pleasure book and I& #39;m also a tad bias because I& #39;ve become friends with the Author since I finished it. Blades Edge and Traitor& #39;s Hope by Virginia McClain.
Swords, magical beings and one of my favourite plot devices.
