5b Theory about God's Retirement:

(1) God said that he would retire therefore announcing it in the family dinner. Amenadiel, Michael, and Lucifer are his ideal sons that He would want to take over the position. Since Amenadiel has a son with Linda, he will probably refuse the offer because of his family. Meaning

(2)we have Michael and Lucifer left for the position. Lucifer might have thought about why he would want that position but in the trailer, it's shown that he wants to be God. Maybe he wanted to prove to his father that he is a good man after the therapy with Linda and his father.

(3) We also saw in the trailer of Michael also wanting to be God. Leaving them to battle it out in the stadium. We see from the trailer that Michael has a lot of supporters including angels and other people from the Silver City. Meanwhile, in Lucifer's side, we only see Chloe and

Amenadiel. Obviously, Michael has more supporters like what Remiel/the girl voice said in the trailer. Another thing is, maybe later on, some archangels will join Luci's side like Remiel, Gabriel, Azrael, and Raphael because Michael said that when Lucifer went back to h*ll, they

(5) were praising him for protecting Charlie and humanity. Another thing I wonder is, why is Chloe there in the stadium as well? Lucifer would never have allowed Chloe to be there. My theory is either Chloe had superpowers that makes her strong or Chloe is such an understanding

(6) girlfriend that she would be there for Lucifer. The next feeling I have is, neither Lucifer nor Michael will be God. Because Michael would not be a good God and Lucifer is, well, he doesn't have to be. And Lucifer would probably back down towards the end because maybe

(7) at some time, he realizes that he doesn't need to be God to prove to Chloe or his Father. Maybe he will realize that he should choose his love for Chloe over power. Not saying that Lucifer wants power, but he thinks, for Chloe to love him, he has to be well, God. I have a

(8) it's not gonna happen because maybe God's retirement was just a false alarm. Like, why would God retire? Maybe He just wanted how far his sons will go to be God. Maybe Michael will go to h*ll and God will retain his position, leaving Lucifer to be happy on earth with Chloe.
