I am tired and disgusted at the hypocrisy against the IPL. The IPL is not about Virat or Dhoni. Never was. Carpenters, ground staff, bus drivers, hotel staff, led board providers, labourers, plumbers it is an ecosystem. If offices are offering livelihood so is the IPL. 1/2

The fantasy sports industry, media, tv crew, tech staff, I can keep going on and on and on. Anyway each one is paranoid and do we need another few lac people added to this list without livelihoods? Add their families to this list. The IPL sustains this eco system. 1/3

If you want to stop the IPL stop all OTT platforms, stop each one of them.
When I see spors journalists say this all I can say is they have no regard for their own ilk. Some of them who are retired have assured pensions. Those who will lose livelihoods don’t matter to them. 1/4

When I hear daily wage labour say dads installing signage at Eden gardens. Will get a couple of thousand rupees. Will help the family for 2 months: and then I think there are those who want to deprive many many such people. It is just unreal! 1/5

And someone explain to me where is the entertainment? Players and everyone associated is in bubbles. They do to their place of work, do the jobs assigned and come back. It is their factory. The stadium is a factory or work place: no more. Is it too difficult to get this!
