- On Twitter, the general consensus is “Don’t date if you’re broke”

- In real life, I have seen actually ‘broke’ couples working really hard, making big decisions with love.

Witnessed a babe preparing contract proposals and agreements on behalf of her Engineer boyfriend.
Over 100 million Nigerians live in extreme poverty. Over 30 million are just above the poverty line, the middle class story is also one very big illusion.

This translates to the fact that you’re most likely ‘not rich’ & would most likely ‘not date or marry’ a rich man or woman.
Why can’t two poor people then work towards creating a better future for themselves?

Way to go is;

- Develop more positive values & attitude (this transcends money)

- Find people that actually love you.
- Find people with whom you share similar dreams, ethics, values, goals & ambitions. (If they’re rich, that’s a plus)

People have fun with who they love without visiting the fancy restaurants, beaches or resorts. When their times comes, they also will.
Just do yourself some good by ignoring twitter idealism and focusing on what’s obtainable in real life.

As long as you are able to manage to get basic necessities like shelter, clothing and work, love is not beyond what you can find.
Note: This isn’t encouraging complacency or laziness. Work ooo!!
Of course, love is sweet when money enter but if you delay gratification & manage to choose the right person, money won’t hinder you from finding true love.
You definitely can find love right on your way to that great future👍
