How do content creators make short videos???

I understand that my genre isn& #39;t the kind that lend itself to sub-10 minute videos, but whenever I pick a topic it falls into one of two catagories.

1. This rabbit hole is deep enough I need 25+ minutes to explain it all.

2. Not enough info make this go for more than 5 minutes.

Sometimes I can find a project that is really obscure and expand upon it but that tends to make things well out of control because once you move on from talking about a game to, let& #39;s say the developer themselves, then basically things go wide open (see the Dreamfactory video.)

I guess the trick behind it is to pick a narrow topic and only expand it to as far as you absolutely need to fill time, but I am so bad at cutting things down. I can usually trim a 50 minute project down to 30 but after that you really start cutting into the interesting parts.
