SPEED is perfect. Literally perfect. One of my Top 10 movies of all time. Probably one of the Top 10 "big movie ideas" of all time.

But what I love is how well all the little things work. The attention to detail is immaculate.

And it's just clean as a fucking whistle.

Also I wrote 12 ROUNDS 10 years ago and even though people back then said it was a rip-off of SPEED it wasn't until tonight that I really saw they were right.

I'm not sad about it in the least. I just wish I could have written a better movie as an homage to them!

There are whole movies that don't have a setpiece as good as the bus hitting the baby stroller full of cans.

Also everytime I watch this movie I think about how they got to film on the 105 cause it wasn't open yet and think...

Good God, the traffic on the 405 getting the airport must have been a fucking nightmare. Who builds an airport without a direct freeway exit?

I see you 105.

I still think about Dennis Hopper showing up on set of the first day shooting the final 4 episodes of the first season of 24, saying hey to everybody, the director saying action, Hopper saying his lines in that awful accent...

And everyone being too scared to tell him it stinks.
