Every semester of law school from 1L to graduation I had a 2.9 GPA. I had time during school to work almost full-time and live a more comfortable life financially during school and get a ton of experience at a firm. I passed the bar exam on the first try and now work full time as
An attorney at a firm where I work 9-5 and 9-4 on Fridays, no weekends and have no billable hour requirement. I was also automatically excluded from the biglaw firms and government agencies in the area due to how bad my grades were. Excluding me from a lot of benefit paying and
High paying jobs. I don’t regret my choices, but I’m aware my poor grades had consequences. Current law students: Maybe what I did would be worth it to you, maybe not, but if you’re already in a bad grade situation that you can’t fix, this is a reminder your life isn’t over!
