I said something @nctm Annual tonight that I would like to expand upon.

As some of you know for years my social media feed & in-personal talks have been closely monitored.

As someone who fights for equity, it comes with the territory 1/

Tonight I stated “if folx are tired of hearing about equity/racism/dismantling/white supremacy culture than imagine how folx feel continually having to endure it. If you hate “hearing” about it take steps to fix it”.

The same energy you use to get mad could be used to address the issue.

Folx make decisions EVERYDAY that either perpetuate the system or quickly work to fix it.

While some can opt out of the discussion & the solution.

As a Black man in America staying silent or opting out is not an option for me. My people, my family, my life literally depends on the work that I do.

I challenge folx to take a deep look in the mirror. Historically excluded folx are telling you exactly the steps to take.

Instead of attacking them ask yourself “why am I not listening and why am I not acting upon what they said”.
