The fact that I have NO plans to get the vaccine is neither related to Trump nor my being a Christian. I have no plans to get the vaccine because I’m a researcher and critical thinker. First, take a look at history. The Spanish Flu, which had FAR worse
results than this virus, disappeared after about 18 months – without a vaccine (as vaccines did not exist until around the 1940s). The same is true of the 58/59 pandemic, the 68/69 pandemic and even the 2009 pandemic. Every one of these past pandemics
followed the same pattern – even without a vaccine. No reason to think this one is any different. If you’ve tracked it as I have, you see the exact same pattern.

Second, the relative “rush” to a vaccine (yes, it’s been under study for a few years) does not
give me comfort. Two key factors cause me concern: 1) the government has relieved drug companies of all liability for injury caused by their COVID drugs; and 2) the FDA is still studying the vaccines, this is why they are being administered under an
Emergency Use Authorization. Third, statistics. The reality of this is not nearly what the press has created. Not everyone is getting it. Only about 10% of Americans in total have contracted the virus over the last 15 or 16 months. That leaves 90% untouched
after nearly 16 months. Currently only about 2% are considered active – and this number is too high because many states are withholding recovery numbers. If all states reported as per the CDC, the current active percentage would be about 0.6% of the
population. And if you do contract it, there’s an extremely high likelihood of recovery (>99%) and the resulting natural immunity.

Lastly, the long-term effects of the vaccine are unknown. Many anecdotes and even conspiracy theories are circulating around
the vaccine. But my analytics side tells me that the unknown of the vaccine is far scarier than the known of the virus.

Neither Trump nor my faith has anything to do with my decision to not get vaccinated. Analysis and critical thinking are my reason.
