Another delay is deeply disappointing, as we were expecting 34,700 doses next week, as early as Monday.

Once again, Albertans are subjected to the reality of finite vaccine supplies from Ottawa.

It must be remembered that other incoming doses of different vaccines are often already earmarked for other phases. 2/5

Despite this setback, we fully intend to keep our commitment to the people of Banff and RMWB.

Alberta Health officials are urgently looking into how we can deliver doses from other sources. 3/5

Health Canada is currently working with Janssen and the FDA to obtain all of the information it needs to complete its regulatory assessment prior to releasing the Janssen vaccines for distribution to Alberta. 4/5
