We're the batch that did not get a farewell trip, we're the batch that had no physical events in school. We barely got to see our friends because of classes at alternate weeks. We don't have a batch photograph or any on-campus memories. We didn't even get a farewell -which btw(1)
we all really needed for a closure- or a rang/holi day. There's no reason for us to look forward to our school magazine this year because we know it will not be about us, the outgoing batch. We have more memories of zoom raids and watsapp chats than of us hanging out with our (2)
friends in school. Years later when we'll look back to this we will be reminded of the trauma this pandemic caused. We'll remember how the government didn't listen to us, how when we demanded justice people blamed us for being lazy, we will remember how we weren't treated (3)
fairly. But we will also have so many stories to tell, how everyday there was a new trend, how we gave exams amidst the 3rd wave of the deadly corona virus, how someone tried to 'take Cambridge down' 😂 and how some students kept us entertained with their elite memes. (4)
One thing that I know I will feel is 'Rul tay gaye aan par chass bari aayi hay'. This too shall pass ❀ (5)
