Thinking about India 🇮🇳 It’s own people and the stranded Aussies. I got a call at 4am from my friend I met there when I went to see the Dalai Lama. He said the situation is devastating. He said he’s seen over 100 people die each day. Half of the bodies are left dead 1/6
because people are either too scared to catch the virus or they cannot afford to cremate them. He said most of the paramedics are good. However, one paramedic just chucks each body on the ground once he realises the person is dead. My friend said one of these bodies 2/6
was the father of a 13 and 15 year old who watched the paramedic just dump their dead father next to the river. My friend helped the children and made sure their father was looked after in a dignified manner for their last moments together. 3/6
It takes approximately three hours to cremate a body and he said that’s all he’s been doing every day. Collecting bodies and cremating them: Helping the families who are scared to catch the virus or cannot afford to cremate their loved ones. Many lining up for hours. 4/6
He said to tell the world to wake up because he feels like it has lost it’s humanity. We talked about life, truth and love. I told him he is so brave and doing an incredible thing. He said he is happy he has been able to help others. 5/6
He has become friends with the police who provided him with full protective gear because they saw he was doing a wonderful thing. He was very happy to talk and very thankful to be able to share his story with you all in Australia. 6/6 ❤️
