To those waiting until Pfizer vaccine is available in Ontario
Pfizer's 2nd dose should be after 21 days
Ontario is blocking 2nd dose until after **112 DAYS**
There is no guarantee even at that time
It is like wasting 1st dose entirely (and the purpose of vaccination)

The point is… there are many folks in Ontario who'd rather wait for Pfizer or Moderna than get what's available — & who don't realize that without timely 2nd dose (impossible in Ontario) it is pointless to have the 1st dose of even a high-efficacy vaccine so late! SO DON'T WAIT!

And those who are hoping to get Pfizer or Moderna… Your 1st question should not be "Which vaccine am I getting?" but rather "Will I get the 2nd dose in time?" (Which is impossible in Ontario). In a way your "triumph" of scoring a vaccine of your choice probably can be fruitless!

To be honest, this senseless & harmful timely-2nd-dose denial alone should be enough for the Health Minister and Chief Medical Officer to be fired — as if everything else wasn't. But then at this point, the entire Ontario carnage is beyond understanding to a normal human being.

In short, Ford govt denying 2nd dose is a naked political move, NOT medical (counting only 1st-dose numbers makes it appear as if more people are vax'ed). This is the gravest of crimes by Min Elliott & lackeys like "Dr" Williams (who should be stripped of his licence & charged.)

Also remember… Immunity is achieved *2 weeks after 2nd dose*. You are NOT "vaccinated" until the 2nd dose (ie, impossible to timely get in Ontario — essentially wasting 1st dose). So when Ford govt shrieks: X number of Ontarians vaccinated… it is a political slogan, NOT a fact.

And that is also the reason why an immediate lockdown is more important to contain the virus than just focus on "vaccination" (a misleading term because it's only 1st dose. 2nd dose is all but impossible in Ontario, meaning even a large number of 1st -dosers will have wasted it!)

Without lockdown — even if a large number of population is only 1st-dosed — has been likened to getting just half a life jacket. The mind-boggling Ontario decision to block 2nd dose (thereby wasting the 1st) — & no real lockdown — is inviting 4th (& the deadliest) wave of all yet

Remember, Canada is ONLY country blocking timely 2nd dose (admitted by NACI). But NACI simultaneously ALSO wants 2nd dose be given "as soon as one is offered the 1st"! This bewildering double-speak hints of political meddling to appear "vaccinating faster" (see previous tweet).

Even Pfizer said clearly that the vaccine's high efficacy is based on recommended period of 21 days between doses. WHY is it then Ontario is criminally & deliberately blocking 2nd dose until 112 DAYS? Is there NOBODY who cares just how mind-boggling this wastage of 1st dose is?

WHY those who advocate loudly for vaccination so quiet on this? Vaccination is NOT a one-dose pass where cutesy hashtags, selfies or vax hunters have done their job after giving people just HALF THE LIFE JACKET. Why is there NO NOISE about getting 2ND DOSE ***ON TIME***? WHY?
