My day has been about time. Time is non-fungible, money is fungible. Spending time is an irreversible transaction. There are those who understand this and there are those who don't. Trust the ones who understand.
One thing I treasure as a hard introvert is solitude. So if someone doesn't show up to a meeting, I use that time to spend time with others or I just mine "peace coins"
What do I mean by "mining peace coins"? It's just a matter of accessing the inner calm abiding of a flow state. You are going to need peace coins later either to spend on yourself or others who may need them.
One stressful moment this morning was when an online conference previous speaker went long. This is disrespectful because they are now spending my time.
Further, by doing so they forced me into a dilemma which is do I cancel a meeting I has previously committed to, or do I show up and give my talk on a delay?
By keeping my other meeting commitment, I would be disrespecting the time of the attendees of the event.
I ended up canceling my meeting in order to respect the time of the audience.
By the way, not only did this previous speaker spend my nonfungible time, but they also spent some of my "peace coins".
