This one time in an R6 match I said a call out and some dude and girl in my game asked me if I was a girl. I said no and girl asked why I sounded like that and I said idk why I did. Then the dude said well just don’t sound like a girl. And proceeded to flame me for my voice.
My girl friends have it even worse than when I sounded like a girl. They experience extreme sexism almost any time the use a voice chat in a video game. It’s fucking ridiculous that they are simply flamed for being a girl.
If you don’t see how bad the gaming community is, not even just in “competitive” games you are fucking blind and probably choose to be. It’s outrageous that people can’t even be accepted for who they are online. The internet should be a place where people can be accepted.
Also writing this thread made me realize how much I hate making long tweets.
