Perez Hilton (whose real name is Mario Lavandeira) is a low-life wanna-be who ran a celebrity blog in the early 2000s and got famous by making fun of women like Britney Spears and outing closeted gay men like Clay Aiken, Lance Bass and Neil Patrick Harris. #FreeBritney

In fact, while Lance Bass had told Britney he was gay in 2004 and she kept it a secret, Perez Hilton was bullying him to come out as gay with a "malicious" campaign. #FreeBritney

Perez was absolutely disgusting to Britney Spears in 2007, editing her photos to make her look like a drug addict, calling her an unfit parent, capturing her worst moments from the paparazzi and adding tacky clipart captions to post on his trashy website. #FreeBritney

After Britney's 2007 VMAs performance, Perez was one of her biggest critics in the media. He even wrote a letter saying "F*CK YOU!" because he was so "insulted, offended and disgusted" by it. #FreeBritney

Perez would even write fake stories about Britney "sex tapes" that never actually existed. #FreeBritney

On the set of Britney's Piece of Me video, Perez did a stunt for the paparazzi by bringing her "gifts" such as new panties show she can "cover up." #FreeBritney

When Health Ledger died, Perez Hilton started selling shirts that wished her death, saying "Why Couldn't It Be Britney?" #FreeBritney

Britney was very clearly going through a rough time, but Perez Hilton was obsessed with tearing her down because "being bad is good for my business." #FreeBritney

But a year later, after Britney was put under a conservatorship, her team invited Perez Hilton back to be a part of the opening of the Circus Tour. #FreeBritney

And again in 2014, the man who mocked Britney to a breakdown was allowed to have a meet-and-greet and be a part of the Freakshow performance. #FreeBritney

Perez Hilton has ALWAYS been pro-conservatorship. In 2015, he said Britney was off her meds but he believed that her conservatorship wasn't going to let her get into a "bad place." #FreeBritney

Now for whatever reason, Perez Hilton is being given a platform in the new #BattleforBritney documentary by BBC where he says Britney would "be dead" without the conservatorship. #FreeBritney

The "Britney would have died" narrative comes straight Britney's advisors. In fact, it was one of the earliest red flags when they switched from "Britney entered voluntarily" on April 4th to "she would have died" on April 19th when entering a health facility in 2019. #FreeBritney

In fact, Britney wasn't "about to die" when the conservatorship was put into place. Her mom's autobiography says it was being planned for 6 weeks. Lawyers spent more than 72 hours on the case before it was even filed. They "worked with the LAPD for weeks." #FreeBritney

All hope is not lost for the BBC documentary though. The director Mobeen Azhar says that he wasn't convinced by Perez' argument that Britney would have died without the conservatorship. #FreeBritney

However, Britney wasn't the only celebrity to be tormented by Perez Hilton. In 2010, he uploaded an upskirt picture of then 17-year old Miley Cyrus to his official Twitter account with over 2 million followers. #FreeBritney

Perez was one of the largest critics during Christina Aguilera's Bionic era. He loved to make fun of her weight, call her "FlopTina" and "FailTina" and tried to create a feud between her and Lady Gaga. #FreeBritney

Lady Gaga once responded when a fan said they saw Perez Hilton at her apartment. She took the threat extremely seriously and said "do i need to be shot in the head for people to understand that he and everyone else that harasses me has gone too far?" #FreeBritney

Demi Lovato has also been very vocal against Perez Hilton after he bullied her and tried to start a feud between her and Taylor Swift. #FreeBritney

Even when questioned on Instagram live, Perez had no remorse from commenting something so sexual under an underage girl's Tik Tok. #FreeBritney

Perez says he can't be sexualizing young girls because he's gay (which is not a valid excuse), but let's also talk about when he sexualized young boys. Dylan Sprouse, for example, was one of his early targets. #FreeBritney
