He was killed when a driver entered the 35th St. bike lane to pass another car.
The driver hit Xing, dragging his body & scooter under her car, as she barreled through Rosatoro's outdoor dining structure, where she also injured a diner.

Xing was only 37 years old
A Chinese immigrant, he came to this country 14 years ago to provide for his wife and two children (ages 5 & 9)
He had been working as a deliveryman for Watawa Sushi for the past 1.5 months. This new job was vital, he was his family's sole breadwinner
