okay so here’s a thread about the story i got from stray kids most recent kingdom performance

this thread is in no way based on facts purely off what their performance told me and the story i picked up, this thread is purely for fun.

so to start it’s quite easy to see that the main character in this performance is this little kid , the performance starts with seungmin on his knees singing with flowers in his hand , he then goes over to the statue of the boy+

i assume this is representing a grave to commemorate the child , we can already tell that this is an emotional performance and the story they are telling doesn’t necessarily fit the actual meaning of the original song , rather than being a man to a love interest+

they are a man to this kid , you can take that in a father figure way or a person this kid looks up to etc..
seungmin places the flowers in the statues hand . Jisung then falls to his knees while he sings “baby ill just pray” signifying that they are begging for the boy’s return+

this boy obviously represents someone stray kids loves someone who has been taken from them. you’ll notice that stray kids are all wearing the same rings and the 8th ring is on the statue (8 rings for 8 members) , so in order to get the boy back they travel to heaven+

they are punished by the angles for trespassing and are chained up. their goal is to make the philosophers stone in order to bring the kid back and Jisung offers his blood to make the stone+

but this causes chaos and disruption between heaven and i assume either earth or hell and we see the war this has caused as the world starts to fall apart, stray kids have successfully made the stone and they place it in the statues hand +

but of course no one can actually bring back a soul from the dead so in order to give this kids soul back stray kids sacrifice themselves to bring him back.

this story to me is about having someone taken away from you and you going to whatever lengths to get that person back no matter the consequences or sacrifices. this is about someone you love being gone from you and y’all can fill in the rest

i’m sure a similar theory has already been shared but whatever
