TW: childhood abuse, neglect

As a young child I was often abused & neglected by my bio mother. This landed myself & my 2 younger brothers into foster care.

I saw getting my college education as a means of survival. After getting denied financial aid at UMASS Bos, I made the leap of faith to GA

While here I’ve had to fight to get my degree & survive on my own with little help from family

Every step of the way has been a GOD move

Andrew has been with me & we’ve helped each other EVERY step of the way

He was with me when I didn’t have a bed & slept on the floor
He’s ate turkey stuffing for dinner with me when I literally had nothing to eat
He’s been a shoulder to cry on & my someone to rejoice with

Hes supported me for the past year 1/2 of marriage working on his business that has provided for the both of us

&afforded me the privilege of going to school without having to work

It is bc of him I get to graduate with honors & distinction.He is privileged to take care of me

It hurts me to this day that I didn’t have traditional parents that loved & provided for me

But God is a gracious God for giving me a best friend & husband who takes care of me now. It is for that reason I consider myself blessed beyond measure
