THREAD: WHY MIKEL ARTETA IS A MASSIVE PROBLEM AND THE MAIN REASON WHY ARSENAL ARE CURRENTLY SO POOR
1. The lack of tactical knowledge. Arteta struggles to create good tactics before and during a game. Arsenal start off slowly and poorly in 90% of our matches due to the poor tactics and poor starting lineups.
2. Arsenal went from 5th - one point behind top 4 - with Unai Emery to 10th within 2 seasons. Arteta has taken us backwards with a better squad. He added the likes of Partey and Gabriel to his squad while also extending the deals of Saka, Martinelli and begging Xhaka to stay
3. Arteta has not improved us defensively even though his fans say he has. Arsenal play more defensively, sacrificing attacking football to instead not concede. So many times this season we have accepted a draw or a minor defeat instead of fighting for the win
4. He has made so many players regress in development/become worse than with Emery. The likes of Auba and Partey have been incredibly poor under Arteta. Granted Auba did have Malaria, it isn’t an excuse for the whole season.
5. He’s a massive hypocrite. He drops the likes of Cedric, Martinelli and Pepe for having one maybe two bad games yet consistently uses Willian, Xhaka, Elneny, Ceballos, Auba, Leno and Bellerin who have all been massively underwhelming this season.
6. His discipline regime is stupid. He sends Douzi out for one incident against Brighton but after Granit Xhaka swore at the fans, threw our shirt and armband on the floor and then refused to apologise for it he begs him to stay.
7. He cannot develop young players. Saka was destined for greatness from birth, also Emery brought him and Martinelli into the team. He had no choice but to pick ESR. Willock and AMN who are under Bruce and Sam respectively are ripping it up yet under Arteta, they failed
To conclude: Arteta is out of his depth, Arsenal are regressing under him and are on the verge of being out of Europe for the first time in 25 years. Anyone who backs him please answer these 3 questions. What is his style of play? How has he improved us? Who has he improved?
