It& #39;s in the same vein as people who say stuff like "oh, my neighbor, who is gay..." to me for no reason. (No, I don& #39;t know him.) Declaring - subtly or explicitly - that you& #39;re okay with my sexual orientation or gender identity is just weird. I& #39;m not looking for your approval.
