I need graph paper.
I go to the grocery store. They have no office supplies at all.
The next day I go to the drugstore. They have lined paper but no graph paper.
There's an art store nearby. I walk over. There's a sign saying no walk ins, have your exact order number ready.
I think: I see the sign, but surely saying "I need graph paper" is no worse than saying "I need order 32". I knock on the door. Someone comes out and says I have to order off the website. I stand outside bringing up the website. Someone else comes out.
They explain to me there's often a one-day processing time on the website so I don't want to order and stand waiting for it. So that's two separate face-to-face conversations, probably exactly what the policy they're bound by was designed to prevent. And I can't get graph paper.
I've been living in walkable cities and without a car for five years now and it's actually made my life better but I have literally never adjusted to not being able to just get in a car and go to Target.
UPDATE: I finally got around to ordering on the website and they claim to be out of graph paper
Amazon is offering to sell me graph paper but only if I buy $25 of other items
"Unable to get estimated arrival date" I'm about to get screwed over by a company named technodildo
UPDATE: Actually the technodildo is $10.99 shipping for "Unable to get estimated arrival date" on a $5.65 item so maybe I just won't go with that
Just realized Walmart allows me to search their "graph paper" listings by "gender"…they list 616 options for "unisex" graph paper and 1 for "female". If you select that filter they show you a special graph paper designed for needlework. I guess needlework graph paper is female
This graph paper listing on http://amazon.com  has a "look inside" option. Just... trust me on this. Click "look inside" on this. See if you notice what I notice https://www.amazon.ca/Graph-paper-Multiplication-large-squares/dp/B08HTD9Z6R/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=graph+paper&qid=1619897398&sr=8-7
Ordered graph paper from Staples. There was a pickup option. I think, I'm going out for errands. They said it would be ready in two hours. I was heading out then, not in two hours. I walk all the way to staples. I arrive one hour later. They say they don't have my graph paper.
They tell me they will probably have my graph paper in 20 minutes if I want to wait. It's chilly and I have other errands. I walk all the way back home. As I'm arriving back at home I look in my email. I have the email saying my graph paper is ready to be picked up.
