This is such a brilliant start. He tells his lover, don't speak, because I know you want to leave, and in the same breath he tells them, don't avoid my eyes, don't speak but just look at me, look into my eyes and see the way I'm pleading. Look into my eyes and please don't leave

This is such a raw way to begin the song...because he tells his lover to look into his eyes and see the desperation, he's desperate because he doesn't want them to leave and the only way he can express that is thru his eyes, the mirror of the soul.

This line. Holy shit.
Namjoon is talking about how waves crash against each other at sea all the time, and waves are all blue aren't they...all of them are blue because they're a part of the sea. But then they crash, and even tho they're part of a whole, they crash and then

The blue vanishes and it leaves back white. Even though both of them have the love and the want, they still can't stop that crash and when it happens...they lose their colours to it...their love gets lost in it.

Ok I am not sure about this...but in old-time Japan, they said "tsuki ga kirei" or "the moon is lovely" as an expression of love.
What if...what if Namjoon means this that way...that the moon has been switched off...that their love has been switched off and now

He wishes that the moon turn back on, their love turns back on...so that they can express it to each other...so that they don't break..he wants the moon to return their love that is now lost.

(And seeing how the moon causes the tides, maybe the love lost at sea was taken away by the moon, he wants the moon to give back the expressions of love that are no longer there)

This omg.
This is like saying...that his name is known only by his lover now because he cannot view himself outside of them...and if they walk away...then his name, his existence will be lost forever.

This is so beautiful...he believes in their love. Even after everything is collapsing in front of his eyes he believes in their love, that is how I interpret these lines.
Because he says that he doesn't need magic (to get the love to return),

He doesn't need wildflowers (that are symbolic of optimism), he just wants his lover to stay...and that is is what he is choosing to believe in.

And maybe that belief is bordering on desperation, because he can't see his lover walk out.
He can't see them leave because he has loved so deeply that he cannot imagine a life where they don't love each other.
