Here's a thread to highlight the dark side of relations with USA

It's gonna be a long thread

Right from its inception , USA has been a country that has always been at war with some other nation .
USA itself had a civil war and US imperialism claimed uncountable lives

Let's start from beginning

India was declared as an independent nation in 1947 , Jawaharlal Nehru was our first PM . He was a socialist , so he dreamt India to be a socialist country . Back then Soviet Union had just won the WW2 in 1945 , and it was USSR for whom Ww2 ended

Nehru worked with Soviet Union and established several industries , Bhilai steel plant was one among them .

It's safe to conclude that under Nehru India had stronger ties with Moscow

Fast forward to 1971 , during the war against Pakistan . USA and other NATO forces cam in support of Pakistan .

USA sent it's 7th fleet USS enterprise and England sent it's HMS eagle to help Pakistan .

This critical information was tapped by Moscow and was immediately

Reported to India . Indira Gandhi then activated the indo-soviet peace treaty which was signed a year earlier under which Soviet Union was bound to protect India .

USSR sent destroyers and nuclear submarine to the bay of Bengal , upon seeing them the NATO forces panicked and

Decided to leave the bay of Bengal . India used BT-76 Soviet tanks and migs during the liberalisation of Bangladesh and all the other weapons India used were from USSR . Pakistan used f-16 and sherman tanks which were from USA

USSR not only provided weapons but also provided diplomatic support to India . In the end Pakistan lost the war .

Then in 1979 USSR invaded Afghanistan , USA was again scared of the dominance of USSR so it equipped and funded local rebel groups like Taliban via Pakistan

Taliban and other rebel groups managed to defend Afghanistan from USSR . These rebel groups were regularly equipped with weapons from USA .

When Gorbachev became the President of USSR , he began a new era of politics and economy so he recalled the USSR troops in Afghanistan

In 1989 , but this war proved to be very costly for USSR and ultimately USSR dissolved because of this war .

When USSR was gone these rebel groups declared the holy war of jihad against America .

The main goal of them was to form Islamic state and enforce Sharia law

9/11 is an example of one such j!h@∆ attacks . After that America felt it important to control the middle East

The largest military base in Afghanistan was setup by America .
But the war has yet again proved to be too costly , America is now feeling the heat .

So they've decided to recall a large no of troops from Afghanistan

To end the conflict they've started negotiating with Taliban

America is the only nation which is responsible for creating terror groups to increase its influence over the middle East .

Behind most conflicts you'll always find USA

Yet people feel USA is a friendly nation

USSR / Russia is the only true friend of India
