Time for my Jamin Davis thread.

I wanted to take a look at how he starts solving the Washington LB problem. Jon Bostic and KPL both finished with a run defense grade of under 50.

Jamin Davis finished last year with a run-defense grade of 87.5, tied for 9th highest in the FBS.
An area of concern with Washington& #39;s LBs last year was locating the ball with misdirection in the backfield.

In both plays, Bostic can& #39;t locate the football and follows the path of the OL instead of the ball carrier.
Locating the ball carrier isn& #39;t a concern for Jamin Davis.

On both plays he ID& #39;s who has the ball despite all of the misdirection in the backfield.
Patience was an issue last season. In the first play, SDH doesn& #39;t recognize the counter run concept, tries to shoot through the C-gap leaving a huge hole.

Second play, watch Jamin Davis recognize the outside zone concept, stay patient, and wait for the RB to cut back.
Washington& #39;s LBs just aren& #39;t athletic enough to work under and around blocks at the second level. They just struggled to keep themselves clean,
Athleticism is the best part of Jamin Davis& #39;s game. The way he can move around offensive lineman at the second level to keep himself clean is impressive. He looks like a RB with the way he cuts
Last part, quickly ID& #39;ing run concepts is crucial for any NFL LB. Washington struggled with that.

First play, Holcomb takes one wrong step after not ID& #39;ing the pulling lineman and taking himself out of the play.

Next two plays are of Davis instantly recognizing what& #39;s happening
