since autism acceptance month is nearly over i thought i& #39;d make my own thread on things that& #39;re ableist. allistics rt
not respecting our boundaries, like hugging / touching us without permission
overexplaining things to autistic people when they didn& #39;t even ask you to. esp in the fucking baby voice omg
making fun of our special interests / hyperfixations ( however, being hyperfixated doesn& #39;t give you a pass to support smth problematic. yall know who im talking to )
making fun of the way we stim / mocking it
able bodied nd allistics trying to participate in discussions that should only be for autistic people ( ex. r slur discourse )
saying the r slur .
saying you& #39;re & #39; reclaiming & #39; the r slur as an autistic person when you& #39;re using it to insult others. that isn& #39;t reclaiming
mocking our tics ( not all autistic people have tics but some do !! myself i have head tics from time to time )
