Itchio Tutorial Time: how to use the background and banner functions of your game page to make a striking design that will set you apart from countless default offerings. 1/6

Step one is to choose a striking background image. Then use your photo editor of choice to resize the image to 1920x2160 under 3mb. Why that size? Well, a width of 1920px means that it will match the most common resolution of 1080p, and 3mbs and 2160px are the max allowed. 2/6

Next, cut out your banner. The banner is 960 by 400 pixels cut from the top of your background. Make sure your banner selection is aligned at the top and middle of the background to make sure it will fit right on the page. 3/6

Then add some text to your new banner to make it stand out. It is the first thing people will see when they come to your page. 4/6

Lastly, pop your brand new banner and background into the itchio game page. Make sure assets are centered and the background is not fixed. Mess around with repeating settings and decide what works best for your page. 5/6
