1) Police being able to sue protestors for merely insulting them sets a nasty precedent if the judge rules in the officer’s favor

2) But wtf protestor for being a racist shit at a TRANS RIGHTS PROTEST. Minorities attacking other minorities is SUCH a good recipe for success

In conclusion, these people suck

And yes, fighting AAPI hate is important (I’m AAPI after all) but this is also just a thinly veiled attempt by the NYPD to exert control over free speech of protestors, even if the protestor is a racist piece of shit
