🚨WINNER🚨 @ClayTravis’ show this morning was the first national media to criticize CIN’s pick. Get ready for a lazy/unoriginal brigade pile-on. Of course Travis’ show promoted propaganda “the scar” 😱, over context/substance, & added a “no one noticed ,” b/c it’s the Bengals dig
So allow me to “educate,” a lazy national media since their wildfire’s off & burning:
Dear clueless National Media,
Here’s a few things you didn’t consider, b/c you’re busy getting regurgitated/ignorant & “creative” sound-bites in, to hate on CIN rather than take a sober look:
• CIN drafted Jonah Williams as their current & future LT in ‘19
• CIN signed Riley Reiff as their RT. Reiff allowed 1 sk in 1,000+ snaps last yr
• 32% of Burrow’s taken sacks were coverage sacks (per @CoachMinich)
• “The scar” was a result of a freak injury where CIN’s OG (Michael Jordan) actually pancaked his man, but Burrow stepped up in the exact area/moment of the defender’s fall
• All of CIN’s WRs had RAS’ < 5. An outside speed WR was a greater need for a woeful deep pass-attack
• Sewell was only so “can’t miss,” for CIN, yet both of MIA’s OTs had significantly lower PFF grades than the Bengals’. ATL’s RT’s was also significantly lower. Why are those team’s not equally or more so criticized if Sewell is such a “sure thing”? Apply your “logic,” equally.
• CIN is sitting a 38 (just 5 picks in in RD 2) w/ between 10-15 OL available who’ve been mocked at times in the 1st/early 2nd, & who can fill the team’s actual NEED (an OG). The doomsday “run of OTs,” at the end of RD 1 that national media warned the CIN about... never happened
If the national media attempted to “educate,” themselves on CIN’s whys/rationale/strategy (which is going exactly as planned), instead of being all-to-eager to show “wit,” they might advance beyond a Blazing Saddles Mongo-esque opinion of: “Burrow hurt - draft OT”
