A lawyer has been appearing before Delhi High Court every single day asking that his brother in law be shifted to an ICU.

Hospital says it can't because there's no oxygen, so can't add another bed. Hospital even urged if some other hospital can accomodate him.

Couple of days ago, he was put on ventilator.

Law officers made efforts at personal level to find him an ICU.

A bed was even arranged in Safdarjung last night but before logistics could be arranged, it was given to someone else.

Today as the court was discussing if there was some other way for him to get a bed, the lawyer says that efforts were not required anymore as his brother in law passed away.

There was silence.

Some lawyers broke down on screen, most of us cried behind it

I even shudder to think that the sadness that we are experiencing is not even close to the pain and the guilt that the lawyer must be going through.

He was here daily, begging that his brother in law be given ICU bed.

I'll speak to my family only after he survives, he said.

I guess all I'm saying is that all governments be it Central or State have failed us.

And it's probably because we didn't ask for the right things. we became happy with all the wrong things.

I don't believe in God but I guess he's the only one making an effort to save us
