Have the courage to break the patterns in your life that no longer serve you.

I tweeted this a while back.

I’ve thought & journaled more about it since.

Why did it take me so long to break so many self destructive patterns?
Why didn’t I recognize them sooner?

👇👇
For a long time I watched TV every night.

I never gave much thought to it.
Most people do it.
Society says it’s normal so I did it.

For a long time I ate a ton of junk & fast food.

I never gave much thought to it.
Most people do it.
Society says it’s normal so I did it.
For a long time I blamed everyone else for any problem I had.

I never gave much thought to it.
Everyone seems to do it.
Society teaches that’s normal, just turn on the news it’s always the Presidents, economies or the pasts fault.
We all have patterns, habits & routines we fall into.

How often do we pause, reflect & ask ourselves are these habits serving my best interests & goals?

Too often, we just do what others are doing without giving a lot of thought to it.

For 34 years this is how I existed.
I chose the word existed above instead of lived.

I see so many today, on autopilot, simply existing.

Not pausing & asking themselves the right questions.

Questions like:
-Who do I want to be?
-What will my legacy be?
-What habits must I change to get there?
My challenge for you is to pause a moment.

What patterns do you do out of habit, on autopilot, that don’t serve in creating the best you?

It takes courage to break those patterns.

I won’t lie, some people around you won’t like that you want to break them & better yourself.
But I know there’s something deep inside you today that’s begging you to break those patterns!

To be the best you so you can pour into others & truly change the world with me!!

I know breaking long standing habits isn’t easy?

But it only takes 1 committed decision!!
In the last couple years I’ve:
-rekindled & ignited my marriage
-ended casual viewing of porn
-completely changed my diet
-not watched one TV show
-stopped making excuses

So pause today.
Have courage.
Live bold & be the you that you know you can be! 👊🔥
