A feature/game mode that I would love to see added in F1 2021/22 is "Real Driver Career". Basically in the F1 games, you have Driver Career, where you create your own driver and race as him through 10 seasons. It has R&D, team transfers and a lot of other things +
Now in the F1 games there is also Season Challenge. You take a IRL F1 driver and do the IRL season only with objectives on where to finish. It has no R&D or any Career Mode features though.
So I was thinking, why not mix the 2 together? Create a "Real Driver Career" where you take control of an IRL driver for 10 seasons with Career Mode mechanics. This could be a very fun addition as you can, lets say make Lewis Hamilton a 10 time champion ++
get Sebastian Vettel or Fernando Alonso to a return to glory, stop Mercedes' dominance as Charles Leclerc or Max Verstappen, play the whole career of a youngster like Mick Schumacher or Yuki Tsunoda or god forbid, make Nikita Mazepin a 10 time World Champion
I dont think this would be a problem for licensing either, because IRL Driver Transfers are allowed in Career Mode and MyTeam. People may say that its unrealistic if you do 10 seasons as Hamilton or Kimi or Alonso but like +++
this is the F1 game, in some instances in MyTeam drivers like Lewis Hamilton and Kimi go for the full 10 seasons and never retire, so I dont think there will be a problem there
Furthermore, F2 can be implemented to this, so you can do a Career as Callum Ilott, Robert Shwartzman, Jehan Daruvala etc.
Overall, I think it could be a good and fun addition to the F1 games, that I believe wont even take a lot of effort and it could be a very nice mode for the casual as well as the hardcore fans.
@Tiametmarduk @_aarava @VeloceEsports @TheOfficialFNG @Tom97HD @TomMcCluskey_ you all play the F1 game so opinions on this?
