I admit I don’t really understand the anniversaries here. The 37th escort task group was in 2021 and the Djibouti base was finished in 2017. Reversed? Anyway, highlights the prestige the PLAN associated with both.

Daishandao (or Peace Ark, its “peacetime name”), not totally sure it’s the 1st standard ocean-going hospital ship (it’s not). And I guess I missed whatever this medical formation was. But yes, PLAN, you’ve built hospital ships.

Aaaand fin. Several mentions of sailing out to the dark blue waters, lots of missiles and guns, some weird imagery with some garlic, sad letters home from arduous deployments. Give it a watch. It’s a bit much, but it certainly gives a sense of where the PLAN sees itself.
