Have y’all read the George Floyd Bill (HR7120)? The more I read it the more angrier I get.

1. lowers the criminal intent standard to convict a law enforcement officer for misconduct in a federal prosecution. - this is bullshit because murder, for the most part, is a state crime

2. The bill also creates a national registry to compile data on complaints and records of police misconduct. - chuavin was involved in 5 murders. He also kneed a teenage girl. Yet he wasnt fired until mass protests. We cannot depend on police to police themselves.

3. It establishes a framework to prohibit racial profiling at the federal, state, and local levels. —-uhhhh that’s unconstitutional under the Fourth already. Hello?

4. 750 million to investigate themselves. -self explanatory

5. limits qualified immunity as a defense to liability in a private CIVIL action against a law enforcement officer or state correctional officer.

-no we want CRIMINAL charges. These mfs need to go to jail. Further families will go after the state bc they have deeper pockets.

And if the police officer comes bankruptcy before a civil trial then what?

This bill is a slap in the face. An embarrassment. Democrats are banking on our stupidity and laziness to pander to us. It’s fucking infuriating.

So someone asked me what I suggest bc all I did was critique the bill. The federal government is limited bc the police is a state entity. I want them to amend the constitution so all states have to comply.

Or congress can use the power of the purse to withhold or disperse funding for comprehensive police reform.
