The captain of Indian national cricket team was born on 5th November 1988 in New Delhi, India to a Punjabi Family. His father Prem Kohli was a criminal lawyer and mother a housewife. He has an elder brother Vikas Kohli and sister Bhawana.
Childhood
He had a special kind of love for cricket and started playing the game at a very early age. He did his schooling from Vishal Bharti Vidya Mandir and was raised in New Delhi.
Virat’s father, Mr Prem Kohli suffered from a heart stroke on 19th December and unfortunately passed away the same night. Virat Kohli was a young lad at that time and used to play domestic level cricket from the Delhi’s Ranji team.
For the first time in October 2002, he played for Delhi under -15 Teams and soon secured highest number of runs in that same year.
In April 2007, he made his debut in interstate T20 championship and became the highest run scorer for his team. In March 2008, he was made the captain of India's U-19 cricket team. He went to play it in Malaysia and returned victorious.
When both Sachin and Viru were injured and unavailable, Kohli was called up as a replacement as the opening batsmen. Because of his talent, the team scored quite well and won the test vs SL.
When MS Dhoni gave up T20 and ODI captaincy, Kohli was appointed the captain in all three formats. \\
Virat is ranked as one of the world's most famous athlete by ESPN and by Forbes. He is titled the most valuable athlete brand.
He has been achieving a great success since long and played for RCB in IPL and has been the captain since 2013.
Virat has also been dating Anushka since 2013 and the couple was nicknamed Virushka. After being apart for quite a some time, they married on 11th December 2017 in Italy
Virat also has a strict and healthy diet and is a fitness freak.
After his victory is 2008 in U-19. His teamates like Ravindra Jadeja and Goswami named him Chiku. He also has nicknames like Chase and Run Machine.
