I love seeing TV/Film agents who big up & motivate their clients on social media. Small things like wishing your client luck for a casting, for me, shows that as an agent, you're proud & you care! More agents needs to do this! 💯
When a client feels well represented, seen & heard by their agent, this allows for both parties to work coherently to ensure that the energy is put into the right gigs & conversations are being had with the right casting directors! 🙌🏼
It's a two way street this business. But most importantly it's about trust. You need to trust your agent, as they in theory, have the ins and the connections 🤞🏼 you seek as the talent. You need to trust they have your back & see & understand your talent....
... and they need to trust you just as much. Your agent works for YOU. They need to see you and think 'I see them doing this', or 'They can definitely do that' etc. And not just put you forward for everything & anything just for the sake of it.
More so, it's about communication. I've had agents who at the beginning of every year, call me in for a meeting to ask 'what do you want to achieve this year?' - these convos are important because it's about team work. You and your agent should be a team!
Anyway, that's my Friday rant! I've been dealing with a lot of actors and agents lately, so automatically, the above was sparked within me.

As you were. Happy Friday 🎬🎭
