🚨Reaction for Picks 1-32 of the NFL Draft 🚨 I thought I would write a thread for my instant thoughts and reactions from the first round of the NFL draft. 1 tweet per pick.

Hope everyone enjoyed the draft, and if you are watching later on, I hope you enjoy it.
1) Jacksonville Jaguars- QB Trevor Lawrence

Clearly an obvious pick and the best QB Prospect since Andrew Luck. Lawrence has all the throws, has a lot of poise and all in all, he's going to do good things for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jags fans should be excited.
2) New York Jets- QB Zach Wilson

No real surprise with this pick. Was projected to be a day3 pick 12 months ago. However, after an incredible 2020, his stock rose. He has mobility, he has a lot of great throws and a good arm. Will take time to adapt. But has platform for success
3) San Francisco 49ers- QB Trey Lance

A shock to some given the reports beforehand this could be Mac Jones. Massive upside and potential. Is a duel threat QB & will require defences to pay attention to his rushing ability. However, only 17 games played in college. Will need time
4) Atlanta Falcons- TE Kyle Pitts

The highest pick a TE has ever been taken. And Pitts is worth this pick. He is the best TE prospect ever. He can line up anywhere, with the best receiver score given out by PFF since 2014. Falcons fans should be excited by this weapon joining
5) Cincinnati Bengals- WR Ja'Marr Chase

Well well. Not a shock but questions should be asked why they passed on Sewell here. Chase is the best WR threat in this class and will pair up with Joe Burrow once again. However, we saw what happens when you don't protect the franchise
6) Miami Dolphins- WR Jaylen Waddle

Cincy started this theme of reunions and Miami continued it with pairing Tua with Waddle. Waddle has great athleticism and speed and could be a real weapon for a team desperate for one. Will mean no more Preston Williams
7) Detroit Lions- OT Penei Sewell

A man promising to have his team biting kneecaps has made an extremely sensible pick here. It's not sexy, but you need to build from the trenches. Sewell is the best Tackle prospect in the class and a home run pick. Goff will sleep well tonight
8) Carolina Panthers- CB Jaycee Horn

Horn was my CB1 in this class so no shock he went 1st. However I do feel the Panthers, who are void of a lot of secondary talent, might have chosen to go in another direction. However, I do think this is a good fit. Lets see some O Picks now!
9) Denver Broncos- CB Patrick Surtain II

First off Surtain is a great player. However this isn't an immediate need for the Broncos who addressed CB in FA. Will they kick themselves for passing on Fields? I can't help but think they will. This doesnt help the team now which hurts
10) TRADE- Philadelphia Eagles- WR DeVonta Smith

The Eagles did a deal with their enemy after the Cowboys board blew up to bring in the Heisman Trophy winner. Best route runner in the class & fits the type. + he is reunited with Fields. He will get open, but can Fields deliver?
11) TRADE Chicago Bears- QB Justin Fields

This was a big one. Gettleman finally traded down & got a haul. The Bears reneged on their promise to Dalton & took their new QB of the future. Remains to be seen if he starts Week One but Fields has it all long term. Dalton W1 is my bet
12) TRADE Dallas Cowboys- LB Micah Parsons

Cowboys moved down 2, pickup a 3rd & got the player they would have taken at 10. All in all great business from Jerry. Parsons is an elite LB with great presence and an eye for the QB. Sideline to Sideline. Not the biggest need but BPA.
13) Los Angeles Chargers- OT Rashawn Slater

Biggest position of need and the Chargers get their LT of the future. Extremely solid pick. With all the chaos above, they could wait, fill their biggest need with probably a top 2 player on their board. Home Run Pick by Chargers here
14) TRADE New York Jets- OG Alijah Vera-Tucker

The Jets paid up 2 3rd round picks to move up 9, which is a huge price to pay given the talent on the board. No doubt AVT is a top player and will protect new Franchise QB so you understand the logic. However, they need more players
15) New England Patriots- QB Mac Jones

Had to be! They knew he was coming to them. They didn't panic and got their man. Jones is being compared to Brady. Steady on. But he is an accurate passer with great poise and great leadership. But the "joker" won't be laughing in OTA's.
16) Arizona Cardinals - LB Zavon Collins

This was a strange pick considering their 1st round choice last year. Very different players. Felt more protection for Murray or more weapons would have been the pick. Collins is a very solid LB prospect but not the best one on the board.
17) Las Vegas Raiders- OT Alex Leatherwood

This is the worst pick of the night. Not a 1st round player on many boards, not the best tackle on the board. The Raiders have a type and aren't afraid to pay up for their guy. But this was such a reach! Noted he was taken as a T not OG
18) Miami Dolphins- DE Jaelan Phillips

I don't remember the last time the first EDGE went this late. Does have health concerns but is an extremely capable DE with a 1st round grade. He will start day 1 and fix the whole left by recent roster moves. Explosive and dynamic
19) Washington Football Team- LB Jamin Davis

This was also a strange pick. Not the best LB on the board. Davis is pure athleticism but extremely raw. At least he is landing on a team with good coaches who can get the best out of him. This was a reach and others were better here.
20) TRADE- New York Giants- WR Kadarius Toney

Despite the haul they got, they took the most polarising player in the first rd. He has shown flashes of elusiveness but hes a poor route runner who needs lots of coaching. In a crowded WR room I cant see a clear path to success Yr 1
21) Indianapolis Colts- DE Kwity Paye

Shock, the Colts took a very good player. Ballard takes a lot of excellent players and gets one of the top 2 EDGE's in this class. Explosive, dynamic and a playmaker. Colts fans will love watching him. Very solid pick
22) Tennessee Titans- CB Caleb Farley

The Titans took a gamble 3 years ago with Jeffrey Simmons, who was scheduled to miss most of his first year due to injury. They clearly want to land a top 10 player. Farley is that, if he can get healthy. No doubt the talent is there. BOLD!
23) TRADE Minnesota Vikings- OT Christian Darrisaw

Imagine moving down 9 spots, getting a haul, and then still getting the guy you probably would have taken at 14. I can see another tape leak like last year of the war room laughing when they saw Darrisaw on the board. Home Run
24) Pittsburgh Steelers- RB Najee Harris

Position of need? Yes Greatest position of need? No Their O-line is terrible. Contrary to belief the class isnt THAT deep of good talent. Humphrey or Jenkins made more sense here. Hope the line improves for Harris otherwise it wont matter
25) Jacksonville Jaguars- RB Travis Etienne

Decided to ignore all their holes and position of need and draft a luxury player. I don't get it. Their roster has more holes than a block of swiss cheese. Robinson will be an afterthought. Hope the Clemson Jags get that line help soon
26) Cleveland Browns- CB Greg Newsome II

Northwestern have 2 1st round guys for the 1st time ever & the Browns has much needed cover at CB. With all the injuries to Ward it was a position that left the Browns in trouble at times last year. Not any more. I see LB in rd2 for them
27) Baltimore Ravens- WR Rashod Bateman

At first I hated this but now I'm on board. Bateman has a huge catch radius & will be a bigger target for Jackson. The worry was production, but then I thought, who else is going to be thrown the ball? Talent should prevail here. Buy!
28) New Orleans Saints- DE Payton Turner

Weird pick Is this them giving up on Davenport after next year? They are very similar DE's. Was getting very little first round love. Not sure I got this, but maybe with CBs gone they thought "why not" Was better on board available though
29) Green Bay Packers- CB Eric Stokes

Did people really believe they were going to draft a WR? They haven't taken a WR for 18 picks in a row. Stokes is a good player but this pick will be overshadowed by the Aaron Rodgers drama and this pick won't talk him down from the edge.
30) Buffalo Bills- EDGE Gregory Rousseau

Loved this pick. The Bills get an absolute talent and can coach him up to become the best player he can be. Rousseau is still learning the position but he is an absolute freak. Coach him right, and he will terrorise the AFC East for years
31) Baltimore Ravens- EDGE Jayson Oweh

This made no sense. The position did but other EDGEs were better here. Oweh is an athletic freak who tested off the charts. However no sacks in college in 2020. Wink will coach him up, but it's going to take time Needed a more polished pick
32) Tampa Bay Buccaneers- EDGE Joe Tryon

The Bucs ran to the podium in record time with this pick. They pushed the ticket immediately. Clearly love this guy and want him to be the successor to JPP. He's got lots of positive traits and will learn from one of the best. Solid Pick
