A thread about LDS Twitter
I find it rather interesting the polarization between those who used to be Twitterst*ke. TS was the first major grouping or hashtag associated with members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints online. I was there in its infancy.

It really was awesome to see people sharing testimonies and being kind and friendly online. But in short order there started to Immediately be an opposition to it. And thus Apost*ke was born. Their tactics then haven& #39;t changed from the antis of today
They would send p*rn to your dms. Tweet it at you. And throw their precious C3S Letter anywhere they could. They would call TSers every name you can think of.
And it started to work. Soon we began to argue amongst ourselves.

Some would theorize about the answers to every possible gospel question. Driving themselves mad. Others would find themselves caught in the perceived parodox of having standards while also not being judging of those who willfully live contrary to the Lord& #39;s commandments.
Pretty soon there wasn& #39;t really a TS anymore. Just a bunch of whiny hornt posters.
It was about this time I left on a mission. So there& #39;s a 2-year gap in my context here.
But when I got back, I found that some rather odd and interesting things had happened.

Twitterst*ke and apost*ke no longer existed, at least, not in widespread use.
I was crushed to see the aftermath of what happened to many of the faithful I had interacted with in TS.

Many of them, including many with testimonies that could make me cry with a joyful spirit, had chosen to leave and walk forbidden paths. And have become some of the most vile antis I& #39;ve ever seen.
Others became progmos, staying in the church but not really believing in the whole

Only a small few, which I could count on one hand, of the thousands I knew of, have remained stalwartly faithful.
Latter-day Saint twitter lives on. There has been multiple attempts at creating a rallying hashtag for members who who believe wholly in the church and its missions

I won& #39;t mention them by using their tags, or spelling them out, as many people mute the words entirely. This thread isn& #39;t about the different tags or their uses, anyway.
I helped create LDZ. A failure of a tag that really became a place for the whiny.

There& #39;s RDX. Which lasted for like, a week?
There was DNice. A tag centered around the idea of being "nice". Which reintroduces the aforementioned perceived parodox of having standards but also not being judgy.

And obviously, there& #39;s DN. Which has become the face of Latter-day Saint twitter at this point.
Regardless of how you feel about any of these, it& #39;s more important to understand the Twitter experience.
Twitter is designed small statements. You want those tweets to have impact.

You want them to maybe even have some kind of shock to them. Something that makes them stick out. Tweets about eating a turkey sandwich go nowhere.
People will say dumb things on this website. I know that I have. It& #39;s an inherent design of the limited character system.

There is always going to be some kind of drama. That drama is driven by only a few sources.
-Those who want attention and don& #39;t care what kind.
-Outsiders who want to see a show.
-And Pride.
You will at some point be called something inflammatory.

Just like in the early days of TS, there are many, even some who want to masquerade as faithful members, whose sole intent on twitter is to make you angry, upset, and polarized from other Latter day saints. They want to drag you away from your faith.
Get a thick skin. Love people the way Christ does. Push people to be better, without adding fuel to the fire. And if someone says something stupid, either at your or in general, ignore it. Don& #39;t feed that wolf.
Blocks and mutes exist. Use them.

In the end, the one who is trying to sift you is the devil. He desires to have you, that he may sift you as wheat.
Don& #39;t let him.
Stand firm for the truth. Stand firm for God. Stand firm for the Lord Jesus Christ and the atonement he performed for your sins.

Stand firm for the truth. Stand firm for God. Stand firm for the Lord Jesus Christ and the atonement he performed for your sins.
Stand for mercy. Stand for repentance and repent daily. Stand for charity. Stand for the sort of kindness that Christ would proffer.
Be a disciple of Christ. Be a good Samaritan.
Be who you covenanted to be, both here on earth as well as the covenants you made before your birth

You have already defended the Father& #39;s plan once. You fought a war that saw the loss of billions if not trillions of your siblings to an evil plan. They hated you. And you begged them to change their mind. And they didn& #39;t.
They still hate you. And that plan still runs rampant.
They still hate you. And that plan still runs rampant.
You chose to Stand firm then and follow Christ. You chose to be His disciple.
Keep that covenant. Keep your promises to Heavenly Father. Stand for righteousness and rebuke the devil and those that espouse his rebellious plan.

You have tremendous power for good or evil. But you have to choose this day whom you will serve.
As for me,
I& #39;ve chosen The Lord.
