Vaccines are a mainstay in preventing some diseases called Vaccine preventable diseases

The body fights off infection by mobilising some soldiers (white blood cells) when they see disease which are Foreign to your body and strange to them, they then start to fight

Vaccines also subtly work by using this same mechanism and battle plan

How are Vaccines Prepared.

They are prepared by taking either Part of Disease causing organism, or the organism itself, or substances produced by the organism and modifying it before it's put into the body

(I'll break it down shortly)

Goal is get something from organism that you can put into Human so soldiers can be alert.

If live organism is used. it is kind of put in a sleep mode(attenuated)..we don't want the direct organism in the body. but a sleepy mode that can't cause Severe infection is what we want

In the case of either a substance or part of the organism it is modified.

Now when you are injected with this Vaccine.

The soldiers wake up and are at alert that oh something that isn't part of the body is In your body. They fight In a bid to protect you

This is the point you might have fever, headache , weakness or any other symptom.

This shows your body is fighting and you're fine

With time they win the battle.. some of the soldiers that fought are immortalised and kept in case the disease comes a second time

When the real disease comes a second time. (Don't forget the first time is a modified disease- the Vaccine)

The immortalised soldiers from the last battle swing into action so fast and kill the disease and still keep more immortalised soldiers for more wars in the future

What Vaccine does is it primes your system and warriors battle ready to swing into action

From explanation you'd agreee that some vaccines might not be suitable in some cases..eg the Live sleepy mode ones because they are just sleepy diseases

In people that have low soldiers like HIV , Cancer , some drugs & other diseases we don't give the Sleepy ones because the sleepy disease will cause full blown disease since they already have low soldiers and can't fight the sleepy organism (Vaccine)
