I totally figured it out. The actors hung up over not being able to play trans roles when they are cis must not be getting enough work to be so threatened over not getting the very few trans roles that are out there.

You know how many times I see audition slides I’m not qualified for and just... *GASP* SKIP IT AND MOVE ON TO THE NEXT ONE??! Instead of whining about it? Like what a concept. I’m non-binary and I STILL won’t audition for trans roles. They aren’t for me AND THATS NOT A BAD THING

I shouldn’t have spent the time arguing with insecure actors & transphobes while my head is pounding from my root canal. I take the time to explain the media’s responsibility in the violence against trans people and someone actually laugh reacts??

Trans people have to fight for the right to exist and feel safe, something cis people can’t and won’t ever know (for being cis). But they shouldn’t get good things like a role as a TRANS PERSON?? No, let the cis person take that glory and not have to worry about their existence.

Now that’s off my chest. If a mod doesn’t properly handle this thread, originally meant to be celebrating Pixar’s first transgender character, I’m just leaving that toxic environment in the dust.
