I make it a point to counsel patient relatives personally regarding covid patients in ICU over phone...it z of course my duty
Problem is
1. Then they start consulting for their whole family...
i understand these r tough times and help out of empathy... 1/n
But then family changes to 2nd degree and 3rd degree relatives...and then friends and then friends relatives

2. my number gets shared among their family and each 1 starts asking about patient condition..again i just think to update status out of empathy...they mst b worried 2/n
3. Then d nmbr reaches their known to doctors...and i receive advice to try this try that...if i say patients condition not improving..then comes d advice tontry tocilizumab, plasma therapy etc etc

4. Then they ask if i shud tk other doctors advice and shift to other centres

Literally im staying many hours on fone...Try hearing everything out of empthy...tough times...

But it is draining me completely...totally ehausted...mentally..
Worse i hardly get 2 3 minutes to talk to my wife daughter and mom staying hundreds kms away from me...4/n
My daughter is growing...im missing her growing phase...even during those 2-3 min calls wth my family...i get umpteen calls whch doesnt let me speak to my family properly
Its draining me...completely...
Plz people understand our conditions...5/n
It highly demotivating when u hear attack on health care workers when all health care workers are going through this...please understand the situation...this is a new disease wth no definitive treatment...everyones hands are full..6/n
All are giving their best with all resources at their disposal...so please bear...there is as much we can do...🙏🙏🙏
