THREAD: Czech Republic has its new National Strategy for Countering Hybrid Interference.

Europe-wide, it is relatively unique policy document, focusing directly on hybrid threats.

See details what it says in this thread below.

Given how Russia and China interfere in Czech internal affairs, the government decided to set up a specific strategy for countering it.

It is hard with a President serving both Russia and China, but Czech security establishment is strong and willing to fight back. So they do.
This part looks theoretical, but as a government, you need to have these definitions officially outlines so it is binding for the whole state bureaucracy, not just the national security establishment who gets it.

Plus there are govt bodies dedicated to assessing and responding.
This Strategy has been written by Czech foreign policy & security establishment, the primary author is Czech Deputy Defense Minister @JanHavranek2 who has extensive NATO experience.
This is good:

This Strategy lays out three key streams of hostile attacks:

1) political/ideological
2) economic
3) security/defence

It is a civilian AND therefore a military problem - if your politicians are corrupted by the enemy, you are screwed and you do not resist.
Here you see the civilian components: screening of foreign investment as a defensive tool (already approved by the Czech Parliament), other resilience building options will be on the table in the Action Plan, soon to follow.
Here is what we need to learn better: effective strategic communications and real coordination between various state institutions. Despite being a country of 10-million, we often do not have real full-spectrum responses.
And yes - the allies. Without EU and NATO, we would be screwed.
