Like, yes, existing humans might benefit from the perpetuation of the species, but it can simultaneously be the case that the world is far too cruel to impose upon a hypothetical child. I know I don’t want that shit on my conscience. That’s why I’m adopting.

If you want to produce a bio kid, you might want to be able to answer the question of why you had them (if they ever ask). Just sayin’. And if your answer is “so we would have workers + consumers to keep public pension systems afloat,” don’t be surprised if they aren’t thrilled.
