the timeline of gojos life makes me miserable,, from the minute he was born he was proclaimed as a prodigy for whats hes bearing and had bounty hunters after him. his upbringing was probably strict with traditional moral beliefs, raised to be & #39;strong& #39; rather than & #39;righteous& #39;
met suguru at 15? didnt get along from the get go & had to go through one or two of these crucial bounding moments that gradually solidified their friendship. geto became his only equal & his moral guidance. their beliefs clashed & often kindling fights but they were friends.
then at 16/17 him & said best friend had to undertake a mission that they realized late on, was beyond them. left them both traumatized with little to no support but they had to show up next day had to continue taking missions because that their main obligation as sorcerers.
the only solid relationship gojo had was disintegrating without him being aware of it. they take on less missions together as gojos strength advance at an incredibly fast pace while geto who still hasn& #39;t recovered from what happened with riko becomes more reserved–
doing missions in a state where no 16 year old should be have ever reached. less missions together therefore losing the only support system they had which is each other.
geto deems his efforts fruitless & meaningless decides he can& #39;t put on this front any longer while gojo most certainly not prepared to deal with it let alone fix it, tried to understand but nothing seems to make it work.
gojo was just as traumatized but he was dealing with his trauma by becoming stronger by exorcising more curses he was mentally not equipped to talk geto out of his resolve. he was also just a boy but never treated or seen as one.
